April 8, 2008
Indiana Tech's head coach Kirsta Solberg received great news from not just one, but two excellent athletes out of Northridge High School in Middlebury, Indiana. She has shown her defensive abilities by being named her team's Defensive Player of the Year for 3 years straight. "Alli can handle the ball well on serve receive and that is something we will look for out of her for next season. Crusaders Put A Halt To the Warriors
November 19, 2007
In the Regional Semi-Final, two WHAC teams were set up to face each other for the 5th time this season, and 3rd time in three weeks. The Warriors had a record of 1-3 with the Madonna Crusaders going into their fifth and final match-up of the season, with their last match-up a back and forth all out battle that ended in 5 with the Crusaders on top. Indiana Tech was ready to take down the Crusaders to move into the finals. Game one did not look promising as the Warriors came out flat and let Madonna control the whole match, losing 18-30. The Warriors were able get back some steam and fight to control game two winning 30-21. Carrying that momentum into the third game, the Warriors were in control for most of the match. Madonna began to pick their game back up however, and battled back to take the third game 26-30. From there on out, it was Madonna's match as they finished out the fourth set 22-30 and ending the Indiana Tech Warriors season. Senior Korinne Lewis put up a huge fight in her last game with 16 kills, 5 digs, and 2 blocks. She was followed in offense by junior Ashtyn Humerickhouse with 15 kills and freshman Tiffany Aikin with 13 kills. Jenny Vogelgesang spread the offense with 48 assists and she also had 4 kills, 14 digs, and 2 blocks. The Tech defense was led by junior Staci Stork who had 17 digs for the night. Morgan Anson also had 13. Junior Liz Lykowski had another strong match behind the service line, putting up 5 aces on only 1 error. The Indiana Tech Warriors came traveled a long road this season and continued to get better and better. While they hoped to continue further, overall they had a great season. They faced some adversity and were able to come together as a team and continually grow and improve. The Warriors look forward to continuing this as they head into next season, although they will greatly miss seniors Korinne Lewis, Erin McCann, and Morgan Anson, all who had a huge impact on the success of the team.
Warriors Fight Past First Round
November 19, 2007
For the fourth time this season, the Indiana Tech Warriors were to face Taylor University. All three prior matches ended in a loss for the Warriors, so they were determined to beat Taylor to advance to the Regional Semi-Finals. Game 1 seemed to show that things might go their way as they controlled the game and won 30-23. Game 2 however was the exact opposite as Taylor gained the momentum back and capitalized on Tech's unforced errors, winning the game 18-30. To continue the seesaw, Tech battled back for the Game 3 victory 30-23 and were one game away from advancing to the semi-finals and beating the strong Taylor team. Taylor is a tough team however, and when they gain momentum, they are hard to stop. In a back and forth battle at the end, Tech was finally able to get past Taylor in a final score of 33-31. Korinne Lewis had a great match for the Warriors as she had a game-high 25 kills and 3 aces. She was followed by Ashtyn Humerickhouse with 14 and Erin McCann with 12. Jenny Vogelgesang put up 47 assists and 3 aces, while Morgan Anson led the defense with 15 digs. Liz Lykowski also had a strong night from behind the serving line with 5 aces. Up next for the Warriors is Madonna for the 5th time this season to advance to the Regional Finals.

Saturday morning, the Warriors faced #2 seed Michigan-Dearborn in the consolation match to capture the third spot to travel to regionals. Indiana Tech rallied as a team and defeated the Wolves in 4 (30-24, 26-30, 30-25, 30-19). Warriors Fall to Madonna in Conference Battle
October 31, 2007
In the last conference regular season match, the Warriors' fought hard but fell short of defeating conference rival Madonna. Both the Crusaders and the Warriors played hard volleyball Tuesday night in the Schaeffer Center with Madonna clinching game 1 30-24 and Tech controlling game 2 30-25. Game 3 continued to be a battle, but Tech could not contain focus and aggressiveness as they lost 30-25. The Warriors' were ready to come back out and battle through Game 4, however, too many unforced errors and a tough Madonna team capitalized on the mistakes to put Tech at a 14-29 deficit to the Crusaders. Showing their fight and determination, the Warriors' battled back on a 9-1 run before losing Game 4 and the match 23-30. Korinne Lewis led the attack with 18 kills followed by Ashtyn Humerickhouse with 12 and Erin McCann with 10. Jenny Vogelgesang put up 48 assists for the night along with 2 service aces and 3 block assists. Staci Stork led the defense with 13 digs and 2 aces, followed by Morgan Anson with 12 digs. In Game 2, the Warriors seemed to have gone flat, letting Cornerstone control the whole match and losing 18-30. Warriors Win 5-Game Thriller to Capture Huge Victory
October 17, 2007
The Lady Warriors went into the game vs. Michigan-Dearborn knowing that this was a deciding game for what lies ahead in conference play. The Wolves were 7-2 defeating conference beasts Madonna and Cornerstone in the same week, while Tech was 6-3 beating Michigan-Dearborn once already, but losing the first round matches to Madonna and Cornerstone. The outcome of this game would decide whether the door for conference champion stays open or closed for the Warriors. Fortunately for the Warriors, that door is staying open as they defeated the Michigan-Dearborn Wolves in a back and forth battle in 5 games (30-23, 30-21, 27-30, 23-30, 15-11). At first it seemed as though the Warriors would take the match in three as they were always one step ahead of the Wolves and controlled the first two sets. The Wolves bounced back in game three and Tech couldn't clinch the victory in three. The Wolves then controlled the game in the fourth set evening the score back out at 2-2. The Warriors rallied back and fought to take home the win in game 5. Korinne Lewis led all kills with 15 and also had 2 service aces. Warriors End Week on High Note
October 8, 2007
It was a tough week for the Lady Warriors as they took on top 25 ranked conference opponents Cornerstone Tuesday, October 2 and Madonna, Thursday, October 4.
